Setting Up Control Stations
We use a combination of survey nails and reflective targets, establishing primary control and benchmarks around building sites, while still in the early stages. We provide your contractors with our control stations, ensuring your project always starts on the right note. We maintain control throughout the project, ensuring everything on site is as it should be based on the design.
Control Drawings
We can provide you with control drawings in 2D AutoCAD and PDF format, supplying control using GPS or a local grid format, enabling sub-contractors to read and use the documents to ensure accuracy throughout your project.
Our team of site engineers have extensive experience consulting and controlling building sites, using their problem solving skills to ensure any hurdles are overcome quickly and effectively, no matter how complex your project is.
How Else We Can Help
We do not only offer consulting services, we can be by your side throughout your construction project with our secondary setting out services. Our secondary setting out services includes adding gridlines and datums accurately on the slab of each floor. We have experience working on high rise buildings of up to twenty floors, ensuring your project goes ahead seamlessly.
At MB Survey Solutions, we also provide steelwork setting out services, which includes gridlines or centre lines being marked on the foundations with datums, ensuring base plates are installed accurately the first time. We survey the steelwork for line and level as it is installed, ensuring the frame is installed within the design tolerances.
If your new project has curtain walling, our team can help. Many of the new builds these days have exterior cladding facade systems, including curtain walling. These are complex systems, which requires accurate setting out throughout all the floors, ensuring the facade is installed as per the design.
As Built Surveys
In addition to our consultancy services and setting out services, we can also provide you with as built surveys, helping reduce the risk of potential problems due to incorrect installations. We have experience surveying installed elements on building sites as your project progresses. Using AutoCAD, we can supply a clear representation of the surveyed information we captured during our time on site. We visit the site, locate the position of the features, then present the results in AutoCAD and PDF formats, showing the difference from what was installed and what was specified on the design drawings, giving you peace of mind your build is accurate and precise.
